Check out more ARCADE wonderfulness at the bottom of the train pics.

The Big Opening at The Arcade is September 1.

So that I can be first in line when the doors open, I took a few days vacation, stopped the newspaper delivery, changed my message on my answer machine and asked the neighbor to check on the cats.

I packed my suitcase, grabbed my stuffed bear, put on some PJs and headed out.  I'm going to camp out so I can be the first in line.

I had to take 5 trains and then walk 7 miles to get there.  My luggage got stolen twice.  But it is so worth it.

First Train - Binghamton Station

Second Train - Roche

Third Train - Lionheart Hobo Hangout

Fourth Train - LHRR Kiara Station

Fifth and Final Station - Toxian City

First Gatcha I'm visiting is LWL's sunglasses.  The morning sunlight nearly blinded me on the first day.  Ladies who Lunch know how to make a eyewear statement.

Then i'm heading over to Sleepy Eddy to pick up a Pocket Watch Necklace.  I almost missed catching my last train.

Before I leave, I'm going to get me one of those Golf Carts from What Next.  I don't want to walk back to the train station.

I hope to see you there.

If you see me, please introduce yourself.

I can use all the friends I can get!!!

THE ARCADE'S FIRST BIRTHDAY!!

Get out your checkbooks, increase the limit on your credit cards, call the bank for a loan...The Arcade is back starting September 1.

The Arcade is adding new features to celebrate Birthday Numero Uno - food concessions, souvenirs and more gatcha machines.

This is my first year as an official blogger and I want to thank Umberto Giano for inviting me.

My favorite vendors have gotten me excited with sneak peaks of their creations.  I've copied a few of their pics I found on Flickr.

Apple Fall
I recently did a build with a nautical theme, using Apple Fall's Ralphs Boat as a central piece.  I'm going to have to add some more pieces.

 Tres Blah

I have been shopping at Tres Blah on the LuLa sim for years.  Julliette Westerburg creates some of the most charming clothes, skins and accessories, but she outdid herself with September's Arcade gatcha collection.   I purchased Fanatik Home's Vintage travel trunks and can't wait to add these pieces to a new design build.

KEKE

It took me a while to find this shop.  KEKE is Kean Kelly.  I checked her profile and found it - Akasha, Akasha.  I started seeing her beautiful little bottles in room settings on Flickr and blogs and fell in love with the style and detail.  Here is the SL Link to her shop.

 Abomination

As usual, there are beautiful shoes at The Arcade, but these cuties are my favs.   Perfect for your back-to-school look.  I'm thinking of pairing them with a nice chiffon sleeveless number for an afternoon tea I have been invited to.

These shoes have it all -- taste, styling...... (they should come with a warning "keep away from small pets").  I wonder if they have sound affects.

Thank you Pandora Wrigglesworth for making my day!

I will see everyone there on September 1.  Wear your best low lag clothes and hair :)

BOTHA HOUSE - Part 3 Second Floor Bedroom and Hall

I love bedrooms.  My own is a melody in white, ocru and warm brown - a peaceful oasis.

For my Botha House, I wanted to use my Cobble Hill Bed from Trompe Loeil.  It is such a masculine bed so I tried to keep the room neutral - neither feminine or masculine.

In this room, you can lie in bed and watch TV, read or gaze out of one of the large windows.

The scene at the head of the stairs on the second floor is stark and simple.  But i'm really most excited.  I got to use my Mad Hatter chair from a previous Arcade event.  Yippee!!!!!!

I can feel the end.  The light is changing and it is cooler in the evenings.  I can leave my windows open when I sleep.   *Heavy Sigh*

BOTHA HOUSE - COOL AND BLUE - Part 2 First Floor Interior

This blog isn't about the Terra Cotta Army, but i'm a huge fan.  I saw these creations from *PRAVDA - DC* and bought all of them.  Shown in this build is the Armored Infantry Terracotta Warrior Statue V3.  I've used them in so many rooms and they fit anywhere.

The Botha House is breathtaking.  I love all the glass on the first floor.  All the rooms have a view.  Something beautiful out each window.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sectional sofa from The Loft.  I purchased the Roxy Sectional in White, Gravel and Oatmeal.  Picking a non neutral color is outside my comfort zone or I would have bought the red, blue.......etc.  I added pillows from Colleen's collection for a perfect resting spot.

I remember when the Anna Chair was released by LISP.  I thought then, and still do, that it is the perfect transitional piece.  It is sorta modern (mid-century), but the textures give it a classic feel.

Most of the accessories in the room you will recognize, but my favorite is the plant on Cheeky Pea's Deconstructed Coffee Table between the two Anna chairs - Botanical - 'Twoey' Carnivorous Plant.  I'm singing "little shop of horrors" every time I see it.

In my dining area, I pulled out some favorites from Scarlett Creative.  These pieces came with one of the homes that I purchased.  I added the Kuro - Ladder Lamp over the table to keep it from getting to sterile and uber modern.

I hope you enjoy and feel free to visit.

BOTHA HOUSE - 365 DEGREES OF COOLNESS - Part 1 Exterior

I saw my first Botha building on Pitsch Parx' Inspiration Book blog last December.  Botha's buildings have very clean, concise lines.  I purchased the Yasmin House and have been waiting for the right place to put it.

When I moved back to The Grove Country Club in May, I felt that it was a perfect location and site for this modern, serene masterpiece.

Botha's buildings are no-mod so I added some steps from a Lindini home and a kitchen from Fanitik Homes - Farnsworth.  I created some custom glass walls on the second floor and am really pleased with the way it turned out.

Stop by and see for yourself.  I won't begin my remodeling of the site for another couple of weeks.
