The Many Moods of Fall

Apple Fall released a warm and intimate set for Collabor88 this month.  The texture on the chairs is amazing.  The Dapper Chairs come with and without blankets and in 8 fabric/leather seats.

I added the new pieces to my Fanatik - Lambarte home.  The first mood is cool and sophisticated, very minimal.

The second mood reflects the tendencies of fall hibernating.  Warm colors, rich textures and lots of good books.

This is no delusion!  Kalopsia's Train/Tank for ~uber~ is crazy, cool, beautiful.  It is perfect for a post-apocalyptic party with 4 of your best dead-head friends.  Singing Casey Jones by the Grateful Dead while I blog this

This Train/Tank can sit 5 avatars at once with sets of animations, there is 20 animations in total divided in 4 sets.  With the buried Train/Tank you have the choice of  3 premade ground texture (Sand, Dirt, Snow) but you can set your own texture on the ground part to match you place.

I took pictures using Second Life viewer and the Fine Day environmental setting.

A bit outre!  Creepy carnivals and insane fun houses!  

Those were the feelings I got when I saw ::revival:.'s creation for September's Fameshed - Slide projector and box screen.  My imagination went off the scale, so I did several themes.

First, I put them in my new Fanatik home - Lambarte, paired with Soy Lounge Chairs (The Mens Department) and Aria's Parma Pendant Light and Parma cacuses (The Mens Department), I got the minimalist look I wanted.

Pixel Mode created this beautifully detailed sewing set for September 2014's Arcade.  I've seen in blogged in some many inspiring ways.  I thought I'd do something different.  I am also excited to use the Lisa Chairs from August's FAMESHED.

Marie Antionette's Dressmaker

"The regulation of court dress was a legacy of Louis XIV's plan to bring the aristocracy into line and the guiding rule was "Persons of Quality must now become Persons of Taste".  For presentation at court, women had to wear le grand habit de cour (the grand habit). Full court dress consisted of a heavily boned bodice with short sleeves, a full skirt over a large hoop, and a long train. This ensemble was all made of the same fabric, typically silk or satin brocade. 

A tailleur de corps (always male) made the whale-boned bodice and train, a courturiere made the skirt, and a marchand de mode (like Rose Bertin) provided the trimmings, lace and adornments for the ensemble.

Past....Present

Something old, something new, nothing borrowed and something blue.  I'm mixing it up and working outside my comfort zone.  Lots of color.

I used fabulous old MudHoney stuff mixed with new, one of my favorite chairs from *Tatty Soup* and a damned cute cat from The Arcade.

*Tatty Soup* you say?  TS is Tab Tatham's old shop.  If you don't recognize her name, she is the owner of junk.

Not sure if you care, but.....One of my favorite elements in this room are the drapes.  LISP - Mesh - Carmen Drapes Pack of 3 Darks.  I unlinked them, changed the texture and repurposed the pieces to create a slightly more exotic feel.

The house is Lindini (L2). I have changed the floor texture and added lattice work to separate the spaces (I've unlinked it so I'm not sure if it is the Padre Island House or the Shoreline House. (sorry lindini2.lane).  It fits nicely on my small lot at The Grove.

Kalopsia did these cool Train/Tank miniatures - what perfect bookends.  You can get them at ~uber~.
