My Secret Garden

So much to love, so much to buy.  I haven't been overly annoyed that I can't get into The Arcade.

But I been to Fameshed, uber, No21 and The Liaison Collaborative and am looking forward to The Chapter Four opening September 4 and Collabor88 opening September 8.

Items I got at ~uber~

Apple Fall - I-Beam Grandfather clock, Katya's Pipeline Sideboard

Sway's - [Crack] Birdhouse . wall

So...feeling dreamy, I pulled out the Secret Outdoor Pavillion and Vase Shrubs from Kalopsia and added one of my favorite chairs from MudHoney, loveseat from Floorplan and gave a nod to The Arcade with past fun accessories.

Here is something I found interesting!  The Arcade has a page on their website with lists and SLURLs to vendors for past items.

One of my favorite pieces in inventory is Apple Fall's Chateau Fireplace. I can't tell you how many times i've been asked where I got it.  So....i'm posting the Marketplace URL.  It is copy/mod and cost $250L

Decadence and Over Indulgence

When I get emails from LTD Magazine, I immediately check it out - in fact it is usually the highlight of my email inbox.

Last week, I read the announcement of the LTD Group Gift (free) from 22769 ~ [bauwerk] called Decadence is Bliss Deco Set.

http://lovetodecoratesl.com/2014/08/25/ltd-group-gift-22769-bauwerk-decadence-is-bliss-deco-set/

I scooped up the free gift and my creative juices exploded.  Coupled with recent pieces from MudHoney at August's Collaborii, I have created my own little den of inequity.  There are a ton of pics, but the scene is loaded with detail.  If you want to take a look, here is the SLURL which will be available through Monday, September 1.

D is for Delicious + Derby + Dalek

The food goddesses at Aphrodite have an interesting creative Muse.  They have whipped up confectionery mayhem with their latest cakes, all based on a Doctor Who theme.

I invited some space friends to the house to get reacquainted and had a superb evening.

Grease Monkey

I have been collecting garage related decor for a long time.  Being inspired by The Liaison Collaborative's August Theme - Route 66 - I pulled out some of my favorites - high prim, no shadows, dodgy textures and full of early inspiration.  I've combined these well loved, older pieces with new offerings from Soy and [Fetch] to capture the feel of a small town gas station/auto repair shop.

Anything you don't find in the credits, please ask.  I am always happy to share.

Uptown Girl, Living in Her Uptown Brownstone

I love Brownstone buildings - New York, Chicago, San Francisco, even Denver, Colorado.  I would love to live in one, but rural Maryland doesn't have many Brownstones.

Here is Thistle's Park Slope Townhouse.  I tried to use Victorian influences throughout while keeping it topical.  Enjoy.

Where have all the butterflies gone?

The World Wildlife Fund released this report in January, 2014

"MEXICO CITY (AP) — The number of Monarch butterflies wintering in Mexico plunged this year to its lowest level since studies began in 1993, leading experts to announce Wednesday that the insects' annual migration from the United States and Canada is in danger of disappearing."

For the last several years, reports on bees has been equally glum..they are dying out.

I, for one, am sad to see them go. And so are the bears!

I'm studying hard for an exam and needed to take a break.  I slipped out back to commune with friends and think deep thoughts.

FETCH has given me these adorable chairs and table to test drive.  They are excellent for thinking!
