The French House - Deer, Part 2

The DEER French House provided a wonderful canvas to realize my vision.  Unfortunately, there were no windows in the back part of the house on the first floor which was where I was putting in the dining room and kitchen.

What is the point of having a beautiful piece of land on the water with wonderful landscaping if you can't see it?

I modded the back wall and added french doors and a deck.  I urge everyone who has a home and a piece of property to deconstruct their house and let their artistic nature shine.  If you save a copy of your house before you start,  you will be safe.

One of my great blunders was to fully finish a house, but i decided at the last moment to tweak a texture.  Instead of applying it to a selected surface, i applied it to the entire house - it was not a pretty sight.

Here are pics of the dining room and kitchen.

The French House - Deer, Part 1

I have always admired the homes made by Carson Brandenburg/DEER.  I recently purchased the French House, rezzed it on my land at Sunshine Mist and went to work.

I changed all the interior textures and tried for a modern/homey look.

Let me know -in world - if you have any questions.

Scarlet Creative - Amarillion - Part 2

Here is the bedroom/bathroom.  What I really like about this home is the bathroom is surrounded in glass and overlooks the pool.

If you had a big pool party and people need to use your toilet, it could get REAL trickly, so I left the toilet out.  Maybe I should add an outhouse on the side.

Scarlet Creative - Amarillion - Part 1

I love the homes from Scarlet Creative.  They are modern and spacious.  They are built to invite the light and the outside in to your design. I could see one of these homes perched on a mountainside or on beachfront property.

The homes are priced so reasonably that I have all of them and have played with decorating them over several years.

I picked the Amarillion for my new home.  It has plenty of glass, but gives you a bit more wall space so you can put up pictures.  I re-textured some of the walls and then had a lot of fun.

Below are pictures of the Exterior and Living Room.  I'll post the Dining Room, Bedroom and Spa/Bathroom soon.

I am in-world a lot, so if you want any information, please IM me.  Enjoy!

LINDINI - WEST LAKE HOUSE

I don't know much about the artist who creates the amazing L2 Studio homes - Lindini2.lane.  I know that I am strongly attracted to her beautiful homes.

I own everyone of her homes and am always drawn to pictures of her builds.  The houses are so flexible you can put any type of furniture in them, place them in any landscape and they fit.

I pulled the L2 Studio West Lake House out of my inventory (a skinny 110 prims) and filled it full of cool stuff.  The bedroom was a modest affair which I didn't bother photographing.

I hope Ms. Lindini2.lane likes it.

If you would like information any items, please check with me in-world.

Southern Gothic

There is a genre of literature and architecture called Southern Gothic.

Common themes in Southern Gothic genre include deeply flawed, disturbing or disorienting characters, decayed or derelict settings, grotesque situations, and other sinister events relating to or coming from poverty, alienation, racism, crime, and violence. (from wikipedia).

Truman Capote wrote several stories in this style.  Other notable authors are William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Flannery O'Connor, Eudora Welty, etc.

I found the perfect home for my characterization - Hackberry Hall Manor.  This amazing build is sold by Never Totally Dead/BlueSean Yiyuan, 393 prims, $3,900 Lindens.  NTD is also the creator of the equally amazing Chateau La Lutiniere (i have this home as well).

The ceilings are beautiful and the peeling wallpaper is incredibly realistic.  There is a secret room upstairs accessible through a sliding bookcase.  There are two other rooms that can only be accessed from within the dining room and the master bedroom - all amazingly decayed and shabby.  The kitchen space is creepy, but inspiring as well.  You can see this in-world.

I only present pictures of the entry, living room and den.   As time permits, I will try to add style information.  Please don't hesitate to IM me in-world if you have questions.
